My name is Jocelyn Warren and I have relocated to the highlands of Victoria after recently working in SE Qld for many years as a hoof care practitioner and Emmett therapist (equine and human body worker).  I came from Esperance in WA where I started my journey into better horsemanship practices. My tutor was a gypsy who learnt his skills from his forefathers and for no other reason than necessity I learnt how to better my horses lives and my own by listening to what he had to show me. After a very shaky start I started trimming my own horses hooves and any others I could coerce my friends into. Under strict tutoring from Karl Cook I started developing my skills as a bare hoof care practitioner. As time progressed I also developed safe handling practices and honed my attention to detail.

After 3 years intensive Natural Horsemanship training, I relocated to Sth East Qld and continued my education in the horse industry. Looking for gentle but firm riding skills to add to my groundwork knowledge, I found Classical Horses Australia and proceeded to upgrade my riding to include rehab in the saddle. After a number of years I found not only did feet improve, but the whole skeletal structure of the equine improved. Muscle work is important to the athletic equine – but I found that with correct exercises on the ground and in the saddle, greatly improved the chances of a sound, injury-free riding partner who had the ability to remain uninjured for many years. I moved to Qld with my old western mare who had all but retired – and due to unforeseen circumstances found myself without a youngster to carry on with. The old grey mare is what she used to be, but better. Id love the opportunity to help others get the most out of their old loved partners.

Thank you for looking through my site and I hope I can help you with issues that come your horses way, also by referring you to a network of service providers I am familiar with to further help you provide the best care for your horse.
